Samuel Colt American Inventor Industrialist Businessman 1/6 12" Custom Figure

This is a custom 12" figure commemorating one of the most interesting people in American history, Samuel Colt (born 7-19-1814, died 10-18-1862). Colt was an American inventor, industrialist, and businessman. His first two ventures were making firearms and underwater mines in Patterson, New Jersey. Both ventures ended in disappointment. Colt's fortunes changed when the Texas Rangers ordered 1,000 revolvers in 1847. The six-guns were to see much use in America's war against Mexico.  Colt would also work with Texas Ranger Samuel Walker  co-inventing the Walker Colt pistol. Walker is responsible for many modifications to a weapon that helped settle the American Frontier. Sam Colt was one of the first to successfully use the assembly line. Colt's revolvers could be mass produced and had interchangeable parts. Samuel Colt was an interesting figure in American history. Please note: although this figure does not look exactly like Samuel Colt there is a bit of a resemblance and the figure displays well. This figure is not quite as poseable as some of my figures but would make a nice addition to any collection. stand included. sold as is. I started customizing figures a few years back because I couldn't find more than a handful of "official" releases and unable to find figures of people I wanted to collect. I checked in to the market of custom figures. Most of the custom figures available back then cost several hundred dollars, so, I started doing my own.
