Approximately 6-1/2 inches tall. * Pink Panther facts: The classic cartoon had music and sound effects but the Pink Panther never spoke. Some sounds for facial expressions and emotions but no vocals. The first of the American film came out in 1963. A comedy-mystery starring Peter sellers as the inept detective Inspector Jacques Clouseau. The movie focuses on a stolen diamond named the 'Pink Panther'. The Pink Panther as a cartoon version came out in the opening credits and sometimes at the end as well. Instant fame! 10 more films followed. Books, comics a video game and animated series were quickly inspired by the character and his comical shortcomings. Originating as the Pink Phink it aired on Saturday mornings starting in 1964 as the Pink Panther. Approximate cartoon air dates 1969-1978. 124 'theatrical shorts' were aired. I saw them all many, many times. I can hear the theme song now.
