GI Joe Timeless Collection Secret Mission to Spy Island Adventure Team

Submitted for your consideration, Hasbro GI Joe 12" Fully Poseable Timeless Collection Reminiscent of the Golden Age of GI Joe (1964-1978) Secret Mission To Spy Island Adventure Team GI Joe Timeless Collection is a series of released action figure sets, which included a fully poseable 12" figure (based on the Masterpiece Edition body) and very accurately reproduced accessories. Hasbro produced these sets in several different waves from 1998 to 2003. Some of the sets were issued under the banner, "Timeless Collection - Reminiscent of the Golden Age of GI Joe". These sets highlighted some of the more popular GI Joe themes from the late 1960s and early 1970s. They were produced in a window box format utilizing a nice, heavy card construction, and the boxes had wonderful graphics and details from the original 60s releases. This auction is for a 1999 Timeless Collection set, the Hasbro GI Joe Secret Mission to Spy Island. It comes with a fully articulated 12" Timeless Collection figure, which is a faithful reproduction of the original 1964 GI Joe figure. It also includes Camo Shirt & Pants, Boots and Black Knit Cap, .45 cal Machine Gun, .45 cal Pistol with Shoulder Holster, Belt with Ammo Pouch, Canteen with Cover, Life Raft and Oar, Binoculars, Signal Light, Flare Gun, TNT and Detonator, Morse Code Radio Set and Wire Roll, 35th Anniversary Dog Tag, and a realistic looking 1/6 scale Alligator. This set plays tribute to the great Adventure Team sets issued for GI Joe. I bought the set when it was first issued. It is new and has never opened or played with. Box is in very nice shape with some shelf wear (light scratches and some sticker residue). Box displays beautifully.
